Not sure its a string. 14 suicides per 100k is a typical number. Google employ 182k. 4 in 6 months doesn't seem unusual to me at all.

- ggm 3y agoThis is substantially what I think too. It's terribly sad, but events cluster sometimes for no strong reason, and in a population/cohort as large as Google, this kind of thing will happen. I was in a 40 person research company which had a suicide and a massive fraud event (unrelated people, unrelated events) -both of which made me appreciate the random quality in life. The local ABC TV broadcast/production site had a cancer cluster which was extensively researched, no commonalities were found, it was simply one of those things (7 or more women with cancers over a 15-20 year period) You don't always get to know why buses come in three.
