Just a thought I'm not sure I actually believe myself: Does catering to every trivial whim (email address? really?) of your employees create a culture of entitled whiners? I've never worked at such a place, so I wouldn't know.
- myelin 14y agoI'm guessing it's a hacker status thing. We care a lot about seemingly trivial things, but not nearly as much about other things, that might appear more important. We're easily appeased entitled whiners :)
- jrockway 14y agoYes. But what's the point of spending all that money on employees if they aren't 100% happy?
- mgkimsal 14y agoTo get the most work out of them for the least amount of money.
- mquander 14y agoIt sounds to me like it makes a culture of happy people. If someone wants something that doesn't hurt anyone, and it's super easy to provide them the thing, why wouldn't you do it? Asking for and giving things that fit that description is common sense, not being an entitled whiner.
