Not all 16B is going to go into FB's bank. Insiders are selling in the IPO. So not all of it will into FB's books.

  Why do they use the word 'raise' then? So 18B are just the value on the shares combined offered at IPO. I wonder how much of it goes to Facebook.

    Only 43% goes to FB, which is essentially unprecedented.
