This title is clickbait and misrepresents something Discord had for years as "ads": "Discord Drops" are in-game challenges (originally just "stream this game for X minutes to at least 1 viewer") that grant you a key for some in-game promo content, like an item skin. The setting for this has existed for over 2 years now. It's just very, very underutilized.
