WV is in the top 10 for highest rates of teen birth. But that's according to the CDC. Perhaps they are just another viciim of the leftist agenda.
- torstenvl 3y agoYes, WV is in the top ten. But Utah is near the bottom. Again, you're way oversimplifying. And what's more interesting is that states with conservative sex education approaches is quite a bit different than overall voting patterns. Many abstinence-stressed states tend to be liberal in other respects. And many abstinence-stressed states have low teen birth rates. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/04/29/17/12868888-6972237-image-a-4_1556556177883.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/04/29/17/12868888-6972237-... (Also, WV's teen birth rate is lower than NY's was in 2005. Is WV more liberal than NY was in 2005?)
- refurb 3y agoThat's a very lazy reply. The person you're responding to laid out a bunch of examples of red states having less of an issue than blue states and you reply with "Perhaps they are just another viciim of the leftist agenda." If you're not interested in engaging in a more intellectual manner, maybe HN isn't the right place for you?
