So what you are saying is the oligarchs use foreign policy tools to destabilize Latin America (to keep wages low there) then import workers into the US to drive down wages domestically? I agree.

  I’m explicitly not saying that. I’m not going to disagree with any of those points since they hold some water, but your perspective is far narrower than warranted by the scale of the of the displaced people.

It's only bold because this board skews so radically progressive and without any self-criticism. The scary-libertarian old-guard of this board (and of SV in general) is long gone. It's fine to see some balance in the farce. I kinda just wish we could all go back to being center-left/center-right. If I had a dollar for every time someone on this board "othered" 50% of the North American population and described them as evil personified, I'd buy Amazon and retire.

  This board is not radically progressive. Are you new here or radically conservative/authoritarian yourself? Trying to figure out how you see that since I see pretty decent spread of biases here myself. What gets to me is when I see thoughtlessly regurgitated talking points that don’t withstand scrutiny, but a proper debunking actually takes time whereas puking up whatever clever lie was told on tv takes no time at all. I expect better of the people here, and most of the time they deliver. Plenty of libertarians remain. They’re mostly self contained to crypto and gold stuff after some major exoduses and hits the ideologies image. A lot of the older ones have matured and evolved since their younger and louder days. With the return of literal fucking Nazis and your lack of concern for this, I feel emboldened to say that polarization is not going anywhere. Certainly not back to center. I’m not compromising on my humanity or right to practice satanism and worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster with the exact same freedom as Abrahamic believers. I don’t see anyone here branding half the country (as of 2020 more like 45%, at best since conservatives skew old) as evil personified. Unless you’re conflating pejoratives like that directed at people like trump, or the actual Nazis I referenced as applicable to every conservative voter in the country? Or maybe you’re referring to liberals being targeted as the personification of evil on this board?
