Everyone is too worried about hype and grifting. The economy is a slime mold, it senses some possible food in a certain direction and it pours growth and resources to blindly spread out in that general direction, until it finds the food, then all the dead ends that didn't find it wither away. Just get used to it.
- barfbagginus 3y agoIf the economy is a slime mold running breadth first search of the solution space, let's consider the outcome that it spreads, and finds nothing that can sustain further growth. Then the whole mold shrivels and dies. We honestly need to teach this slime mold how to do A-star search. If we don't, we could all die because we wasted too much money on investments that never had any potential to sustain the human race.
