Really interesting trends. I was surprised to see that graphic design jobs not only got more in demand but also paid more. Also interesting to see that people seem to be more interested in integration than developing new ml tech. Kind of makes me think the right time to get into ml was 5 years ago.
- rmbyrro 3y ago> people seem to be more interested in integration than developing new ml tech Isn't this true for every tech, though? And a natural fact of life? Think of databases. There's many times more jobs for "integrating" a DB into a project than developing new DB tech. Same for infra, frontend, backend, mobile, embedded, etc...
- __loam 3y agoGood point.
- computerdork 3y agoreally surprised myself. Seems like AI could design some very credible websites and marketing material... but maybe it takes more to integrate all those images together into a cohesive look?

- prepend 3y agoI would think AI helps graphic design jobs as it take a graphic designer to properly use AI and it just speeds them up. In that you still need photoshop skills to pick resolutions, palettes, final touchups, etc etc. So graphic designers will be able to do jobs faster and more frequently. Just like I expect that AI won’t eliminate programmers, just make them more productive. I mean someone still has to tell ChatGPT what to program and test it and it’s not like the project manager will be able to do this. It reminds me of when “easier” programming languages like ColdFusion and ASP made web apps easier, it didn’t eliminate jobs but created more.
