Vanity Metrics LOL
- cratermoon 3y ago> Tasks completed True story: At one place I consulted management cared deeply about the board showing tasks completed and features complete. Every other week the tasks and features scheduled for that sprint had to be in the Done column or the programmer was publicly questioned in the next sprint planning meeting. For accounting reasons there were strong disincentives towards fixing bugs or working on anything that made it harder to get things to the Done column. Project management would not schedule more than 10% of a sprint towards anything on the board so categorized. Project owners determined which tickets got designated bugs or problems.
