This.... What? This must be a troll. Where do you think all the water is going to go that's trapped in the ice now? What is currently located in those places we will now be using for water storage?
- zb3 3y agoSo you mean there will be no water shortage?
- igor47 3y agoWe don't have a water shortage now. We lack easily accessible fresh water. By "we" I of course don't mean the average reader of HN
- lettergram 3y agolol not a troll, I really am excited. We're talking about a massive increase in resources, more usable land, more food production (from increased heat and CO2), less ice, etc. it's a positive for humanity, after it all shakes out (yes, there will be adjustments in the intrim). I'm not really concerned about water. We have the ability to innovate around rising sea levels or changing rain fall. There are plenty of more concerning issues -- microplastics, chemicals, etc.
- igor47 3y agoJust curious, what's the source of the excitement? Did you "do your own research"? Is there a book or a movement or some source that helped you dismiss the standard concerns from "the establishment"?
