These archive.ph links never work for me. It just spins forever. Anyone else experiencing that/know what might be causing this behavior?
- xnx 3y agoSome DNS incompatibility/tiff between Cloudflare and archive.ph. Try using another DNS like 8.8.8.8
- thedigitalone 3y agoSame story with the archive.ph links for me, but https://ghostarchive.org/ https://ghostarchive.org/ usually works. https://ghostarchive.org/archive/rHlPS https://ghostarchive.org/archive/rHlPS
- dustyleary 3y agoDatum: I am always happy to see them. They work great for me on desktop Chrome with uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus enabled, and they work great for me on ipad and iphone Safari with no adblocking enabled.
- Brian_K_White 3y agoIt only works because you happen to not be using a dns server that hides your ip & location from the destination (cloudflare usually). It has nothing to do with desktop or mobile or chrome or firefox or ublock or dns over https etc.
- duskwuff 3y agoYou're probably using Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 DNS or something similar. Archive.ph (and their various other TLDs) intentionally sabotages requests from users using those DNS servers. Instead, try: https://1ft.io/https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/26/well/move/weed-exercise-cannabis-workout.html https://1ft.io/https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/26/well/move/...
