- rbanffy 3y agoAs the happy owner of a C64 Maxi, I can say I want to wait for a full-sized Atari 600 XL (or 130XE).
- warrenm 3y agoI would love a C64 to fiddle with! Some of the tech packed into those old boxes was astonishing :) I also want a Tandy 102 (tried a simulator or two - very buggy) ... can't bring myself to spend the few hundred $$$ on eBay for one, though ;)
- rbanffy 3y agoThe Maxi is a very small ARM board inside a case that's eerily close to a real C64, but with USB and HDMI ports. It only "feels" like a real 64. A lot of the retro experience is the physical part - the ASCII keyboard (where the SHIFT key sets a bit) and the physical size do the trick. This is why I think someone could/should make keyboards with historical layouts, even if they are just cheap membrane ones. The layout is an important part.
