- alephnerd 3y agoThe wages are set by the US Government (who tend to be the largest grantmakers). > a higher vacancy This absolutely IS the case. The US used to fix this through immigration, but Chinese researchers are de facto blacklisted now and Indian researchers are increasingly deciding to return to India instead of waiting 15-20 years for naturalization.
