What I can't stand is the old "but the left wing does unchecked spending" myth. The ÖVP reigned ABSOLUTE for decades (!) in Niederösterreich and it has the second most debt of all Austrian states. Also: The ÖVP is moderate to right and is part of EVERY (federal) government since 1987 (!!!)
