Oh I forgot to mention the Einstein joke! Since I read the books, I could figure it out, but that was unexpected. I suspect that it was setting up for a dark forest punchline in season 2. In fact, it seems like they rearranged the exposition from the books just to lay some groundwork for the later seasons. I don't know if this series is supposed to go three seasons, but if the book 3 fairy tales don't come until season 3, it's cool that they set that up in season 1.
