I grew up playing at this church in the 1970’s and passed it everyday until the early 2000s when I moved a bit further north. It’s a wonderful building and a loss for the town, but as a whole the town has completely changed (for the worse) since the internet grabbed local commerce by the neck. It’s not a unique story, probably most of us in the smaller towns in England have seen it.
