Management is supposed to be a support role, and it behaves that way in some professions (eg law, medicine).
But once you give them control over salaries and budgets, they end up controlling everything else. And management begets more and more management.
- sam_lowry_ 3y agoI can't upwote thus too much. Software Engineers as a profession are too weak in comparison to their impact on the world. Lawyers are too powerful.
