Engineers and STEM graduates in general often fail to understand that technology isn’t always the main constraint. There are harder problems in the world to solve, that actually define the experience. It’s people, it’s regulations and liabilities, it’s financial planning and outcomes etc etc. There exists a technology for many wonderful things, yet we don’t see them and it is not corporations to blame.
