The more safety and expressiveness layering between JavaScript and actual programmers writing code, the better; bonus points if it's a Lisp. Even if just to eliminate JS's weak-typing nonsense. I'm surprised the government hasn't put out warnings about continuing to write so much web software in JS, but I guess TypeScript exists and modern browsers are fairly well sandboxed.
