Drivers are a manufacturer issue. But it is far less of problem than it used to be. A Version of MS Office for Linux would likely be a waste of resources for MSFT. Back around the 90s I tried many ways to maintain some form of compatibility with MS Office, but I haven't needed to since around 2003. Libre Office does everything I require. MSFT have had an Apple version of Office since the 1980s or thereabouts.
