- mrd3v0 3y agohttps://indieblog.page/ https://indieblog.page/ is one of my favourites too.
- TheCapeGreek 3y agoTo add some: https://aboutideasnow.com/ https://aboutideasnow.com/ https://uses.tech/ https://uses.tech/ Taking the time to add some /about, /ideas /now, and /uses to be on these directories doesn't take very long, can recommend.
- rpastuszak 3y agoThe list I use for my research and weekly newsletter: https://untested.sonnet.io/Places+to+Find+Indie+Web+Content https://untested.sonnet.io/Places+to+Find+Indie+Web+Content I also made a small browser extension for exploring / binging on indie web content: https://untested.sonnet.io/Aye-aye https://untested.sonnet.io/Aye-aye
- marginalia_nu 3y agoI built this thing to the same effect: https://search.marginalia.nu/explore/random https://search.marginalia.nu/explore/random
- JKCalhoun 3y agoAre they sites that come up curated in any way? I don't want just a "random" site, I want a random, small, overlooked, but lovingly hand-made site.
- marginalia_nu 3y agoYeah, they're selected based on something like "vibe". I've tried to make it a bit chaotic with a few wildcards and unexpected results, without the pure pandemonium you'd get with no curation at all. The data set is available here in no particular order: https://github.com/MarginaliaSearch/PublicData/blob/master/sets/random-domains.txt https://github.com/MarginaliaSearch/PublicData/blob/master/s...
- JKCalhoun 3y agoI will have to spend some time visiting all these links (and the ones in the replies). I hope these address what I think was an incorrect statement in the article: "There’s less of a sense of exploration because there just isn’t as much out there." I'm assuming that is not true but rather that is just harder to find the good stuff among all the billboards and blaring, glaring lights of the mainstream sites.
