Antitrust experts are impressed by DOJ suit against Apple
- chiefalchemist 3y ago> The DOJ is making the case that Apple’s 65–70 percent share of the smartphone market gives it dominance. iPhones sell at a premium, as much as 10×+ the alternative. I'm trying to sort out how Apple is hurting consumers when consumers are willingly paying such a fat premium. Is the argument people are stupid? Note: I'm not being snarky. I'm seriously interested in how the DOJ is going to answer to that premium === superior product.
- xenospn 3y agoNAL - I think their case is that people have no choice but to spend that extra money to purchase a premium Apple product. I don’t buy it, but apparently that’s what the DOJ thinks.
