New Scotland bill: Jailtime for racist speech

  From my reading, it punishes "racially aggravated harassment" directed against a specific individual. You can choose to express generic racist opinions and that wouldn't be prohibited by this bill. I don't see very many "free speech fundamentalists" complaining about anti-harassment laws, so I don't see why this would be an issue.

    see "offences of stirring up hatred" too. (1)A person commits an offence if— (a)the person— (i)behaves in a manner that a reasonable person would consider to be threatening, abusive or *insulting*, or Italics mine

  So it's relatively fine to discriminate against people for most medical reasons, just not their melanocortin and melanin-concentrating hormone expressions. This is a bad law.
