And as if that problem isn't serious enough, often the governments these delegates supposedly speak for either don't agree with their own delegates or make their delegates lie, often to the point Iran just did with Nuclear disarmament. They opened the meeting, reiterated their commitment to ... and it made such an impression laughter was heard in the next building over. The only good thing about the UN is that obstructionism at the UN often leads to inaction of other governments that wanted to do something, which often turns out to be the better course of action.
