Why a small China-made EV has global auto execs and politicians on edge
- reacharavindh 3y agoAs much as I would love a sub 10K car, I would not think of one unless it has minimum safety features.. Does it have airbags where they need to be, and has ever participated in any crash tests?

The slightly bigger siblings in the range got excellent scores in EU crash tests https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/byd/dolphin/50011 https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/byd/dolphin/50011 And this specific vehicle did well in the Chinese tests > BYD Seagull has tested to be 1st micro car awarded 3A for safety by C-NCAP Scoring 90%+ in operational, collision & charging safety So I wouldn't be surprised to see it do well in other tests.
