But it does keep users in OpenAI ecosystem vs. the competition.
- Bjorkbat 3y agoYeah, but does it matter? Most of their revenue comes from enterprise clients and it seems more likely that someone is going to create a killer app for AI by leveraging APIs and publishing their work on traditional distribution channels rather than creating something that only works on a relatively niche platform. Like, hypothetically, if Anthropic took the lead in this effort, I don't think it would derail OpenAI's plans in the slightest.
