Assange could possibly walk free under guilty plea deal: report
- simonblack 3y agoOutside! Quick! And see those squadrons of flying pigs.
- mindslight 3y agoMishandling classified documents? Did Assange, an Australian citizen, somehow have a US security clearance? It seems more likely this nonsense is being floated to help justify an illegal extradition to continue the United States Government's unconstitutional persecution of him.
- DoItToMe81 3y agoThere were court documents implying he could get the death penalty and several plans to assassinate him. This is never happening.
- ryandrake 3y agoYea, even if he were freed, he’d have to have armed bodyguards forever, travel in the Popemobile wherever he went, never get on an airplane, and so on. Not a great way to live. It’s amazing how much misery the US is willing to put just one guy through, simply to dissuade others from releasing documents on the government’s bad behavior.
- rstuart4133 3y ago> Yea, even if he were freed, he’d have to have armed bodyguards forever As an Australian, that would be ... the first time I've heard of that sort of thing being necessary here. We have prime ministers going for they daily constitutional walks down the street not so long ago.
