I think eventually AMD and other players are going to mive in with force and we will see a surplus of supply in a few years, especially when China starts to spit out a lower end version of...everything.
- xyzzy_plugh 3y agoNvidia is too big. China could not easily get away with spinning complete rip offs that even support CUDA without poking a hole in their hull. Nvidia is working very hard to placate China. If China does go down this route, it'll be for China-only for a considerable time. Nvidia can afford to placate China and avoid that scenario, should their economics continue to trend upwards, practically forever.
