- eropple 3y agoThis is weirdly projective and I'm happy to be an obvious counterpoint to it. I grew up in the middle of nowhere. I moved to a city and didn't have a car for years. It was great and I wish I could've sustained it. As-is, I have a car (the absolute cheapest thing I could find, for Home Depot runs during home renovation) but drive it once a week and commute to the city center by public transit because New England lets you do that, even if it's not as convenient as I'd like.
