Why businesses are cultivating relationships with former employees
- bell-cot 3y agoAs noted, this culture (formalized or not) is vastly more common in some industries than in others. One of my younger nephew-in-laws is an attorney. He's worked at 5-ish different law firms, and (last I heard) has always had open invitations to return to the 4-ish firms he's not currently at.

What's the advantage of ghosting someone(s) who could be a future customer or future decision maker (that approves the purchase of your product / service)? Or perhaps that now-ghosted candidate might refer someone else to you? What company is so busy and so profitable as to intentionally damage their brand by stiff arming well intended people (i.e., job candidates)? Or as I like to say, "How you hire is whom you hire."
