Unless you're talking about save scumming, I don't see how the save mechanism changes anything. If anything, it makes the game easier that it only saves at night so that you can undo the whole day if you don't like the outcome. I don't think 99% of people care when it saves, and they probably treat the game as if it's constantly saving anyways.
