My local, private todo list serves a different purpose to Jira. Keeping the two in sync is manual but not difficult. Every morning I have a routine of selecting my tasks from Jira. During the day, I just try to keep Jira up-to-date. And then at the end of the day, I ensure Jira is up-to-date with my progress. I've tried multiple times to automate them, but the automation ends up with more costs than benefits.
