It’s not a choice if the alternative is literally starving to death. “Hi, give me your wallet or I’ll shoot you with this gun” isn’t considered a choice because we understand that the amount of pressure being applied removes agency. Since when do people complaining about sweatshop labor not want to empower sweatshop workers? Why else would they complain in your estimation?
