the US government seems serious about developing a lunar economy
- hooverd 3y agoThankfully there's already a realistic simulation of life on a natural satellite to draw upon. Ok, joke aside, I think the biggest issue with colonizing the Moon or Mars is that the surface is basically made of asbestos.
- mediumsmart 3y agoI did not read the article but I would have thought they are going for the 1 miner clone plus 1 gpt6 trolley in a lunatic economy. like in that movie
- _8j50 3y agoI keep wondering, why not antarctica? Doing this stuff there first makes more sense and is cheaper. Politically, it won't be any less challenging to mine stuff either.
- hooverd 3y agoI think the temperature regulation situation on Antarctica would be worse than the Moon. You'd run into more problems with overheating than with freezing to death. No pressure from snow. You only have to handle between 0 and 1 atms.
