Some of the Youtube audio is so annoying that I quit watching the videos even if they're interesting. Quite prevalent in some of the fishing videos, for instance the ones from the Life on the Bank channel.
Stores? If you want people to get out of your store, sure. Store misic is already beyond annoying.
- anigbrowl 3y agoA lot of people have no idea how to mix music so they make it way too loud, and use a short loop that just repeats over and over. I blame TV for leading people to expect wall to wall music. These days people are even starting to put it on news segments, which horrifies me. Supermarket music isn't meant to be listened to, it's just meant to cover the echoes of industrial cooling hardware and people walking around in a large space. It usually sounds bad because some marketing drone picks the most vapid pop available on the basis of its proven mass appeal. Instrumental music would work better.
