Splunk was obscenely expensive when we got a quote a number of years ago. I was expecting very high but if I recall correctly, it was an order of magnitude greater than that. Unfortunately, Graylog seems to be taking their post-OSS playbook from Splunk as well. Also interested in non-insane competition.
