How does crypto solve anything with this? It’s a regular bank with regular money that’s decided to close out accounts. Any funds in those accounts would be transferred to the customers’ new bank accounts at their new banks.
Your comment only makes sense if they had said the customer money is gone, but it says nothing like that.
- not_your_vase 3y agoOh, money is rarely lost (unless it is related to criminal activities, in which case it shouldn't be different with crypto either, at least in an ideal world). But it is quite frequent that banks simply reject to have people as a customer, due to various reasons: they don't like the color of your eye, your job, or they simply get bored with being a bank. As a very similar example, try getting a green card in the US while maintaining a Swiss bank account, and try stopping the neverending laugh. It's about financially deplatforming the people for made-up, arbitrary reasons. Sure, this is about a boutique bank for rich yuppies, but the case is not that different from a bank who kicks off a customer for working in the se industry legally, for example.
