I only realized there are two companies just now. I thought Grok was doing hardware too and I had no interest in using their product, despite the apparent good performance, because I won't pay for Elon products. Groq needs to do this formally with lawyers

From a few months ago and not related to the open source release. It is also not a good attempt at satire. Bringing yourself to Elon's level of humor only hurts yourself.

    Satire is both a format and a tone. Irrespective of whether they have a legitmate case, if Grok wanted to sue X.ai for trademark infringement, they wouldn't write a blog post that's intended to be funny, they'd just send a lawyer-vetted C&D.

      We don't know they didn't send a letter. They may not have to send a letter to Grok, they would more likely contest the USPTO application which is still PENDING I'm not convinced it's satire, though it is unprofessional language. I read it more as trying to get under Elon's skin, to elicit a reaction using similar tone to what Elon uses
