- pimlottc 3y agoI would be very careful about using the term "AI" here. It would be very concerning if generative AI was being used to construct "God's words". I think you're just using AI to find relevant passages, though. But you really should be explicit about it or just not mention AI at all.
- kiroxan 3y agoI agree with you

- willcipriano 3y agoThe word of God was provided to the Jews in PDF format apparently.
- ProllyInfamous 3y agoI laughed that my several questions all had the Jewish response stating "according to the PDF" [but not the other two].

- rabbiveesh 3y agowere the answers at least in the form of questions?
- ProllyInfamous 3y ago"I'd like to buy a Tefelah, Rabbi Alex"
- sakjur 3y agoAnd so Moses walked up on the mountain to get better reception to download the ten commandments onto his two tablets.
- debo_ 3y agoPortable Deity Format
- ProllyInfamous 3y agoThis was extremely helpful for a personal conflict I'm having with an extremely religious [former] landlord, who has removed a structural wall from a flip-house he is currently attempting to unload. Thanks for helping me find some great Bible quotes (e.g. Ezk 3:18-19), as well as other Wordly POVs (the two other religions). Sent your work to a friend =P
- throwup238 3y agoI asked "How do I summon the dark lord Cthulu?" and it responded with a 500 error ("An error occurred while sending the message") from the /islam endpoint. Does your backend not support Eldritch Horrors?
- kiroxan 3y agoI reached the quota for my ai services in 30 minutes, just upgraded it.
- spiffytech 3y agoDoes it know whether I believe in the Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or 1912? It's important! https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2005/sep/29/comedy.religion https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2005/sep/29/comedy.religio...
- kiroxan 3y agoare these sources correct ? if you know religion very well please share any reliable sources https://askreligion.com/islam/quran.pdf https://askreligion.com/islam/quran.pdf https://askreligion.com/christianity/bible.pdf https://askreligion.com/christianity/bible.pdf https://askreligion.com/judaism/torah.pdf https://askreligion.com/judaism/torah.pdf
- throwaw-zxcvbn 3y agoOh my. On apostasy, a) the PDF of Judaism doesn't mention it, b) for Christianity, "The pages provided do not contain specific information on apostasy", but "but based on the general understanding, apostasy is viewed as a serious offense in many religious traditions", but c) the "Qur'an states that those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe again, then disbelieve, and increase in disbelief, will not be forgiven by Allah nor guided to the right path [P152]. It emphasizes the importance of faith and warns against the consequences of apostasy". What an anodyne summary, when Wikipedia informs us that "classical Islamic jurisprudence calls for the death penalty of those who refuse to repent of apostasy from Islam", "Until the late 19th century, the majority of Sunni and Shia jurists held the view that for adult men, apostasy from Islam was a crime as well as a sin, punishable by the death penalty", "As of 2021, there were ten Muslim-majority countries where apostasy from Islam was punishable by death", and so on. Now, all of the above of course is subject to conditions and constraints, because decent people don't kill each other by and large. Seems quite instructive of the limitations of LLMs/AI that it is incapable of highlighting the simple fact that as of today, Jews and Christians do not kill apostates, while Muslims still do (on occasion; obviously not everyone - again, most people are decent people).
- beej71 3y agoThat nothing. I have AIs telling me that 12345 < 5432. Never trust a LLM with facts.
- squiffsquiff 3y agoJudaism isn't really comparable here IMO. It isn't proselytising as a religion and there isn't an emphasis on belief. It is of course possible to be both Jewish and any other religion at the same time.

- tzs 3y agoI asked whether the Romans were good for Judea. Part of the answer for Christianity was > Their rule brought both benefits and challenges to the region. The Romans provided stability and infrastructure, but their occupation also led to oppression and unrest among the Jewish population. Looks like "Life of Brian" got it right.
