One of the biggest games in my childhood, often played in local lan network cafes. I also used to play the DUNE strategy game. I miss the age of RTS games. Nowadays the only game barely worth mentioning is Company of Heroes

I think (from memory) it required IPX/SPX rather than TCP/IP for local network play - I remember that leading me down a rabbit-hole as a kid. TCP LAN play might have came in with the Yuri's Revenge addon. Highly recommend anyone who likes the game to check out the Mental Omega mod too - They've entirely written their own campaigns as well as balanced and updated multiplayer in some extreme ways.
