In my experience this happens more to people working part time than full time employees. With full time employees every day can be more or less the same, with 8 hours per day. Part time employees who have the friday afternoon off, still tend to work more than the 4 hours alotted for that day - and then unpaid of course. Also, people tend to pressure themselves too much, things can truly often wait until the monday.
