2 monitors is so passé. It was necessary in the age where you could only get 16:9 monitors (due to 1080p format dominance). Nowadays, I do far better with a 34" or 49" widescreen format. My home monitor is 32:9 and far better than any 2-monitor setup - even though my machine could easily do 3x external monitors + display.
