- bruce511 3y agoGiven anti-chinese sentiment in the US, the data mentioned in the piece are likely to be ignored or waved away with whataboutisms. That said, there's no doubt to me that in the solar space the Chinese offerings are not only cheaper, but also better, than US offerings. And the price trend remains downwards, while the capabilities (w / panel etc) are trending upwards. I'm fortunate to live in a sunny place, and I've seen my utility bills drop 85% since my solar install. I did that on half the price of a comparable US system, and, if Internet comments are to be believed, with better monitoring and logging software.
