To be fair the PNW still has pretty good weather, gorgeous nature, good infrastructure (natural and man-made) and a varied economy. It'd be weird if it _wasn't_

  Also that, but bad zoning laws exist all over the place, and the PNW is still pretty expensive (on both sides of the border).
