From what the Wikipedia page of Overtime says about the EU (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overtime#European_Union https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overtime#European_Union) it seems that the laws are very concerned with working hours, but have nothing to say about overtime being required to be paid or not.
