- noir_lord 3y agoThere are trees that where growing when the Egyptians built the pyramids. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methuselah_(pine_tree) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methuselah_(pine_tree) Human lifespans are a flash in the pan compared to some organisms. Sadly one of those flashes in the pan cut down the tree that was older than Methuselah (at the time, Methuselah is now older).
- jobigoud 3y agoIt feels strange and almost arrogant to "name" the tree with the name of a human figure with our lifespan less than a mere century.
