I really struggle with unikernels.
Great idea, and love the security context, but I feel like you loose so much.
Logging for example, is it all syslog? How do you manage them? What if you need them in splunk, how does that work?
I love the idea, but can’t figure out how to use them in practice.
- eyberg 3y agoWe do encourage prod deployments to export logging that they care about over syslog (https://docs.ops.city/ops/klibs#syslog https://docs.ops.city/ops/klibs#syslog) or something else (https://docs.ops.city/ops/klibs#cloudwatch-logging https://docs.ops.city/ops/klibs#cloudwatch-logging) yes. Any non-trivial large deployment is going to be exporting to some other source anyways.
