- AdamJacobMuller 3y agoThis was days ago and it was a hydraulic leak, not a fuel leak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN256wwVwrs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN256wwVwrs Juan flies the 777 and if you're not familiar with his videos, they are great. I swear I detected a twinge of jealousy as he describes how the procedure for the center system hydraulic failure (which is what he thinks happened here) is one of the most complicated checklists in the 777.
- atonse 3y agoI am happy to continue to shed light on Boeing's MBA-fueled mishaps over the last decade but the 777 is generally a well designed airplane from the 90s... Unless they somehow managed to infect even the 777, or newer variations of it?
- wavemode 3y agoA lot of Boeing's recent issues haven't been in design, but assembly (missing bolts, etc). That being said, planes malfunction all the time, often due to poor maintenance. Boeing's incidents make the headlines because of increased media scrutiny.
- sharts 3y agoSee what whistleblowers have had to say.
- serf 3y agoI agree with you, but the majority of problems so far are thought to stem from the QC/QA processes and from efforts to speed production past the point of sane inspection practices.
- Brian_K_White 3y agoAnd this specific plane is only 6 years old.
- sharts 3y agoHow is Boeing not a case-study for why MBA programs should not exist?
