Could Apple Leave Europe?

  They’re already leaving China, albeit slowly. Leaving both seems like a lot to swallow.

  I’ve wondered if this is a move in their arsenal that they would make. EU citizens would be furious with their legislators if they couldn’t buy iPhones or use the App Store at all, forcing those legislators to capitulate.

    Staunch European Apple user here, if they actually left I'd take it to mean they aren't the company I thought they were. I'd switch to Android, it'd suck initially but I'd survive.

  Seems unlikely that Apple would leave Europe but if they did demand would still exist for their products and would still be filled via US import so I think EU has more to lose.

  That would be interesting given they use Ireland to basically minimise tax, although they're still fighting a bill of $14bn the EU said they owe.
