Doesn’t rust ensure your multithreaded code remains safe under mutation when refactoring the code?
- klabb3 3y agoYes, but not against deadlocks, leaks and atomic ref count locking overhead etc. Depending on how you write your code, (and the runtime if you’re using async) you usually need to abandon a certain subset of the key selling points of Rust (eg RAII, compile time borrow checks, and other zero-cost things). It’s bulky but yes, memory safe.
